Shelly & Flloyd were such lovely dogs, and it's great to see that they passed it on to their children. It was lovely to hear from you and a great compliment that you came back to me for another puppy, i am only too sorry that i couldn't help on this occasion. Thanks again Posted by on 17 November 2010 merrythorpe applepie i was looking on the website and enjoyed it so much, i was reading about jodie and found out you had got her from marylin the sane as us; i got opal who was born on 20th february 2001 and we got her on easter saturday she was really blue thats why we called her opal. We never showed her we live at redcar near the beach and she loves going out for days i remember there was one jodies colour there i wonder if they are related? shes areally good dog but dosent like getting her paws brushed and somtimes she steals. you have a great website! Julie and Opal. Posted by julie coleman on 19 August 2009 Hi Julie Jodie was born almost 18 months later she has just celebrated her 7th birthday earlier this month. There were 8 pups born in the litter that you got Opal from, there were 6 black and 2 blue in that litter 6 girls & 2 boys. Marilyn did a repeat mating 18 months later so although Jodie is younger than Opal, they still have the same mum & dad. Marilyn still has Murry (Merrythorpe Mullberry) from that litter. Thanks for your comments. Pauline, it was lovely to talk to you tonight. I cant believe I found the bit of paper with your tel no on iv had tucked away for ten years! I was so excited but yes disappointed you no longer breed GSD's! It was lovely to hear about Mac's parents and where some of his siblings went. You clearly care about the dogs you breed when you can remember in such detail that far back. It was also very nice to reminise the day we bought him from you.. i can only say I think I felt the same when I brought my new born home from hospital! We were so lucky as he was the one and only dog we looked at and boy did we hit lucky.. you clearly picked out brilliant parents for him.. esp in temperment. When Mac was seven he had a new baby sister (human!) and he was brilliant with her.. anyone who frowns at GSD's with children are soooo wrong! The beardies are lovely that you now breed.. I cant say Ive seen one before actually but theres still only one breed for me! Maybe not right now but soon I hope to own another GSD that can come close to the beauty we lost. Thanks again for giving us such a wonderful dog and ten years of pleasure. If you hear of any of his sibs who have been bred please let me know!! When I can figure out how to use scanner I will send you some pictures of Mac.. he was double of his dad now I can see from the origional leaflet you gave me with pics of parents on. Im so pleased I found that now. And of course if you could ever find the time I would love to see any other pics you have of his parents. Thanks again for the lovely chat tonight too. Anyone buying a dog from you is onto a winner I say! xx Julie xx
